Sivaji Raja Controversy
Actor Sivaji Raja demanded more compensation after the first year of broadcast. By then, the serial had already become the most watched Telugu serial. When the producer rejected the demand, he walked out of the serial and tried to re-create the serial on another channel. However, that serial bombed and the original continued for more than 200 episodes after him. Describing the issue, Gangaraju said that "Sivaji Raja is a sick and greedy man". Later they had to reduce the budget due on the channel's demand and replaced the noted actor-politician Naresh with Harshavardhan.
