Rhythm, Speed & Movement
When fingerspelling, the hand is at shoulder height. It does not bounce with each letter unless a letter appears twice in a row. Famous quotes containing the words speed and/or movement:
“There exist certain individuals who are, by nature, given purely to contemplation and are utterly unsuited to action, and who, nevertheless, under a mysterious and unknown impulse, sometimes act with a speed which they themselves would have thought beyond them.”
—Charles Baudelaire (18211867)
“She had to lean away.
She dared not stir a foot,
Lest movement should provoke
The demon of pursuit
That slumbers in a brute.”
