Allied Forces (song)

Allied Forces (song)

"Allied Forces" is the first single and title track from the internationally successful Allied Forces album by Canadian hard rock band Triumph, first released in September 1981, and later released on the album the following month.

Gil Moore performed the vocals on this track.

This song was played on every tour beginning with the Allied Forces world tour in 1981, though the band would often only play the first half. The complete version was brought back into the set list in 1986 for the The Sport of Kings tour. The song was released live on the Stages album when first released on vinyl, however every subsequent remastered version has omitted it.

Famous quotes containing the words allied and/or forces:

I fear that we are such gods or demigods only as fauns and satyrs, the divine allied to beasts, the creatures of appetite, and that, to some extent, our very life is our disgrace.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

The vice named surrealism is the immoderate and impassioned use of the stupefacient image or rather of the uncontrolled provocation of the image for its own sake and for the element of unpredictable perturbation and of metamorphosis which it introduces into the domain of representation; for each image on each occasion forces you to revise the entire Universe.
    Louis Aragon (1897–1982)
