Selective & OC
While the school provides for gifted and talented students throughout the school as part of its alignment with department wide policy and practice, it also provides places in selective and OC classes designed to cater specifically to highly gifted students.
The senior school at Alexandria Park Community School is partially selective, and offers selective places to candidate students who perform well in the state-wide examination undertaken in Year 6.
The junior school also has OC (Opportunity Class) places, in a class for gifted and talented pupils in years 5 and 6. Students wishing to enter these classes must participate in an examination and placement process that usually begins in Year 4.
