Alexander "Alex" Zakrzewski is an American television director and cinematographer. He has directed episodes of The Wire, Numb3rs, Cold Case, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He has worked on several Tom Fontana produced shows including Oz, Homicide: Life on the Street and The Jury. He is currently married to Renee Berberette.
For The Wire he directed the ninth episode of the third season, "Slapstick", in 2004. He returned in 2006 to direct the ninth episode of the fourth season, "Know Your Place". Show runner David Simon first worked with Zakrzewski on Homicide and praised Zakrzewski's work on the restaurant scene between Howard "Bunny" Colvin and his students in the episode.
