Alec Smight

Alec Dow Smight is an American film editor and television director born in New York City, and whose current occupation is as a director and producer on the successful series CSI. Son of the well-known television and film director Jack Smight, his editing work includes Chicago Hope, numerous television pilots, Northern Exposure, and L.A. Law. In 2006 Alec segued into directing and his debut CSI episode "The Unusual Suspect" premiered on March 30, 2006. His second episode "Burn Out" aired November 2, 2006. Through the sixth episode of season 12, he has directed twenty-three episodes of CSI, most recently the episode "73 Seconds". Alec Smight lives in California with his wife and three children.
