The Ak-Chin Indian Community is a Native American community located in the Santa Cruz Valley in Arizona. The community is composed mainly of Pima and Tohono O'odham, as well as some Yoeme members.
As of 2000, the population living in the community was 742, with a median age of 24.2, compared to a median age of 37.1 for all of Pinal County. 89.4% of the population was American Indian or Alaska Native alone or in combination with other races.
Ak-Chin is an O'odham word that means the "mouth of the arroyo."
