Air Tran Jet Connect

Air Tran Jet Connect

AirTran JetConnect was the brand for AirTran Airways former regional airline service, which flew regional jet aircraft from AirTran's hub in Atlanta. Service was to short-haul markets where AirTran felt their 717 or A320 (operated by Ryan International) aircraft were too large to economically operate.

The JetConnect service was provided by regional carrier Air Wisconsin, who supplied 10 Canadair Regional Jet painted in full AirTran livery with the branding Jet Connect added next to the AirTran Livery.

The last regional jet flight operated in August 2004.

Famous quotes containing the words air, jet and/or connect:

That air would disappear from the whole earth in time, perhaps; but long after his day. He did not know just when it had become so necessary to him, but he had come back to die in exile for the sake of it. Something soft and wild and free, something that whispered to the ear on the pillow, lightened the heart, softly, softly picked the lock, slid the bolts, and released the prisoned spirit of man into the wind, into the blue and gold, into the morning, into the morning!
    Willa Cather (1873–1947)

Gimme the Plaza, the jet and $150 million, too.
Headline, New York Post (Feb. 13, 1990)

Until, accustomed to disappointments, you can let yourself rule and be ruled by these strings or emanations that connect everything together, you haven’t fully exorcised the demon of doubt that sets you in motion like a rocking horse that cannot stop rocking.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)
