Adrian Anton Shankar (born 7 May 1982) is an English cricketer. Shankar is a right-handed batsman and occasional off-spin bowler. He was born at Ascot, Berkshire and educated at Bedford School during his childhood. Spending the majority of his career on the fringes of county cricket, Shankar became embroiled in controversy in 2011 when he was released by Worcestershire County Cricket Club, having been discovered to have lied about his age and achievements in order to gain a professional contract.
