1st Choice Liquor Superstore is a group of liquor superstores in Australia owned by Wesfarmers, and competes principally with the Woolworths-owned Dan Murphy's chain.

1st Choice Liquor Superstores grew out of the former Quaffers brand, and sits alongside Liquorland and Vintage Cellars, Wesfarmers' other liquor brands. The first store was opened in May 2005 at Tooronga Village Shopping Centre in Melbourne. Expansion of the chain was assisted with then owner Coles Group purchasing the Queensland-based Hedley Hotel Group and Mr Corks chain in 2006. The chain comprised 76 stores as of December 2010.

Famous quotes containing the words choice and/or liquor:

I am a good horse to travel, but not from choice a roadster. The landscape-painter uses the figures of men to mark a road. He would not make that use of my figure.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

What it comes down to is this: the grocer, the butcher, the baker, the merchant, the landlord, the druggist, the liquor dealer, the policeman, the doctor, the city father and the politician—these are the people who make money out of prostitution, these are the real reapers of the wages of sin.
    Polly Adler (1900–1962)
