1983 UK Championship (snooker)
The 1983 Coral UK Championship took place at the Guildhall, Preston, from 21 November with TV stages shown on BBC TV took place between 26 November and 4 December 1983. The highest break of the tournament was 139 made by Tony Meo.
Alex Higgins staged one of his greatest dramatic to beat Steve Davis 16–15, coming back from 0–7, to win his only UK Championship title.
