1969 Masters Tournament

The 1969 Masters Tournament was contested from April 10 to April 13 at Augusta National Golf Club. It was the 33rd Masters Tournament. 83 players entered the tournament and 48 of them made the cut at four-over-par (148).

George Archer shot a final round of 72 (E) for a four-day total of 281 to defeat Billy Casper, George Knudson and Tom Weiskopf by one stroke.

Jack Nicklaus finished tied for 24th place and Gary Player finished tied for 33rd.

This was the last Masters tournament that Ken Venturi participated in. He missed the cut by twelve strokes. Venturi finished in solo 2nd place as an amateur at the 1956 Masters Tournament. 1956 champion Jack Burke, Jr. finished tied for 24th place. This would be the last time that he would make the cut in the Masters.

Bob Lunn won the Par 3 contest with a score of 23.
