The 1966 Pacific hurricane season started on May 15, 1966 and ended November 30, 1966. The season was of little note. Hurricane Blanca traveled 4,300 miles, setting a new record. During September and October of the year, Hurricane Helga and Tropical Storms Kirsten, Lorraine, and Maggie hitting Mexico. Kirsten caused 8 deaths and 5.6 million dollars in damages in Mexico (1966 USD).
