1946 NFL Draft
The 1946 National Football League Draft was held on January 14, 1946 at Hotel Commodore in New York.
The most notable draft choice in this player selection meeting was made by the Washington Redskins and remains one of the biggest draft blunders of all time. They chose Cal Rossi with the 9th overall pick. However, Rossi was a junior and not eligible to be drafted. They chose him again in the 1947 NFL Draft, but he never played football professionally.

Famous quotes containing the word draft:
“It is crystal clear to me that if Arabs put down a draft resolution blaming Israel for the recent earthquake in Iran it would probably have a majority, the U.S. would veto it and Britain and France would abstain.”
