Yellowknife City Council

The Yellowknife City Council is the governing body of the city of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. The council consists of a mayor and eight councilors elected to three year terms. The current mayor of Yellowknife is Gordon Van Tighem. First elected in October 2000, he was acclaimed in 2003 and 2006, going on to win against two candidates in 2009.
