by Mohammed Mohsin Ali Yakutpura is one of the major part in old city of Hyderabad and also known as Capital of OldCity, India. It is one of the cultured, traditional and loving part of the old city of Hyderabad. As Charminar is heart of Hyderabad, Yakutpura is in the heart of old city.

The word Yakut Ya·kut(yä-koot) from YakutPura is derived from the Persian word "Yakut" which means the precious Blue Sapphire Stone, It was named by the Nizam of Hyderabad during their rule before Hyderabad-Deccan was an independent state ruled by the Nizams, Later forced to be part of India after India's Independence.

As Hyderabad is famous by its nickname "City of Pearls", YakutPura was one of the precious part of the Nizam's Hyderabad and hence it specified why it was named Yakut-Pura. Over the period this area have evolved with mostly educated, hardworking talented, multicultural and peace loving peoples.
