By Mexican law, XHIJ was required to turn off its analog signal and transition to Digital Television by December 31, 2012. However, on November 1, 2011, XHIJ-TDT began broadcasting in digital on UHF channel 45; however, through the use of PSIP, digital television receivers display XHIJ-TDT's virtual channel as 44.1.
