WWA Tag Team Championship (Mexico)

The WWA World Tag Team Championship (Campeonato Mundial de Parejas WWA in Spanish) is a Mexican professional wrestling Tag Team championship promoted by the Mexican Lucha Libre wrestling based promotion World Wrestling Association (WWA) since 1991. Being a professional wrestling championship, it is not won legitimately: it is instead won via a scripted ending to a match or awarded to a wrestler because of a storyline.

It was first won by Silver King and El Texano in a championship tournament held in May 1991. The current champions are Hector Garza and Perro Aguayo, Jr., when the team won the championship both wrestlers worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) but since then Perro Aguayo, Jr. has left CMLL and started his own promotion (Perros del Mal) and it is unlikely that CMLL would allow Garza to team with Aguayo, Jr. any more rendering the title in effect vacant.

Famous quotes containing the words tag and/or team:

I believe in the flesh and the appetites,
Seeing, hearing, feeling, are miracles, and each part and tag of me
    is a miracle.

Divine am I inside and out, and I make holy whatever I touch or am touch’d from,
The scent of these arm-pits aroma finer than prayer,
This head more than churches, bibles, and all the creeds.
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)

Relying on any one disciplinary approach—time-out, negotiation, tough love, the star system—puts the parenting team at risk. Why? Because children adapt to any method very quickly; today’s effective technique becomes tomorrow’s worn dance.
    Ron Taffel (20th century)
