Programming
The radio station is the largest student-run media organization on campus and is staffed by about 30 individual student and alumni DJs, 6 staff officers, and a faculty advisor. Each DJ is trained in mixing and speaking on air to perform his or her own 1 to 2 hour show. WUMD is unique among college radio stations in that the DJs select the music they play themselves. The officers of the station perform the business duties, including managing, handling incoming music (record label relations), and producing station IDs and drops. The faculty advisor for the station is Greg Taylor. The current General Manager is Kristen Golembiewski.
