The Morning Stretch
WRSU added a new morning show titled "RU Awake" in September 2008, which airs for two hours every weekday from 8 AM to 10 AM. In 2009, the show was renamed "The Morning Stretch", a reference to a 70's morning show at WRSU. The program showcases the many departments of WRSU, featuring a wide variety of music, news updates, and sports talk. The hosts are three different members of the aforementioned departments, and rotate each day.

Famous quotes containing the words the morning, morning and/or stretch:
“The name of the town isnt important. Its the one thats just twenty-eight minutes from the big city. Twenty-three if you catch the morning express. Its on a river and its got houses and stores and churches. And a main street. Nothing fancy like Broadway or Market, just plain Broadway. Drug, dry good, shoes. Those horrible little chain stores that breed like rabbits.”
—Joseph L. Mankiewicz (19091993)
“Black pit cold and light-year
Flame tongue of the dragon
Licks the sun
The sun is but a morning star”
—Gary Snyder (b. 1930)
“I stretch lame hands of faith, and grope,
And gather dust and chaff, and call
To what I feel is Lord of all,
And faintly trust the larger hope.”
—Alfred Tennyson (18091892)
