WPCH-TV

WPCH-TV (branded on-air as Peachtree TV) is an independent television station in Atlanta, Georgia. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 20 (virtual channel 17.1 via PSIP) from a transmitter in North Druid Hills. Owned by the Turner Broadcasting System subsidiary of Time Warner, WPCH is operated by Meredith Corporation through a local marketing agreement. This makes it sister to CBS affiliate WGCL-TV and both stations share studios on 14th Street in northwestern Atlanta. Syndicated programming featured on WPCH-TV includes The King of Queens, The Cosby Show, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Seinfeld and The Big Bang Theory.

Through its ownership, WPCH-TV is the only over-the-air television station owned by Time Warner (this is despite the fact that the company is half-owner of The CW, which is affiliated locally with CBS Corporation-owned WUPA). From December 17, 1976 to October 1, 2007, when its operations were separated from the co-owned TBS, channel 17 was also the pioneering superstation and was carried on cable and satellite television throughout the United States and Canada; the station continues to be available throughout Canada on cable and satellite.
