The World Senior Curling Championships is an annual curling tournament featuring curlers from around the world who are at least 50 years old. Senior curling is quite similar to curling, with the exception of having only 8 ends played instead of 10.
The tournament began in 2002 with only 7 men's teams and 4 women's teams but has since expanded.

Famous quotes containing the words world, senior and/or curling:
“The world perishes not from bandits and fires, but from hatred, hostility, and all these petty squabbles.”
—Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (18601904)
“I suffer whenever I see that common sight of a parent or senior imposing his opinion and way of thinking and being on a young soul to which they are totally unfit. Cannot we let people be themselves, and enjoy life in their own way? You are trying to make that man another you. Ones enough.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“The sucking milk from this our body sends through
jolts of light; the son, the father,
sharing mothers joy
That brings a softness to the flower of the awesome
open curling lotus gate I cup and kiss”
—Gary Snyder (b. 1930)
