World of Outlaws: Sprint Cars 2002 - Career Mode

Career Mode

The career mode enables the player to almost have a real Sprint Car racing experience. Starting with one car and little money the driver has to race at the available distance tracks (Track they can afford to travel too) to unlock other tracks. While also entering as many races in the local, regional, World of Outlaws (WoO) support-class and the World of Outlaw races themselves.

As money is accumulated, new items can be added to the car you have to upgrade it's horsepower and handling. When enough money is accumulated another car with better handling and horsepower can be purchased. You can choose to sell any car or hold on to several cars at one time. You also have the option to repair damage that typically takes place on a race weekend. As little as $5 dollar fixes to as high as several hundred dollar repairs. Depending upon the nature of the damage sustained from the race weekend.

Entering the higher end races (WoO Support, WoO) will require better cars to be able to compete, so winning at the local and regional level is very critical to overall success. Doing well in the lower series will help you earn sponsorship that can help you make the necessary upgrades.

Famous quotes containing the words career and/or mode:

I seemed intent on making it as difficult for myself as possible to pursue my “male” career goal. I not only procrastinated endlessly, submitting my medical school application at the very last minute, but continued to crave a conventional female role even as I moved ahead with my “male” pursuits.
    Margaret S. Mahler (1897–1985)

Sight is the least sensual of all the senses. And we strain ourselves to see, see, see—everything, everything through the eye, in one mode of objective curiosity.
    —D.H. (David Herbert)
