The inaugural World Maths Day was held on March 13 2007. 287 000 students from 98 countries answered 38 904 275 questions.The student numbers and the participating countries have steadily increased in the following years as evidenced by the Guinness Record created in 2010.In 2012 as the World Education Games, over 5.9 Million students from 240 Countries and Territories around the World registered to take part in the games with the World Maths Day being the biggest attraction. In 2013, it was held between 5-7th March and the awards were presented at the Sydney Opera House to the Champions.
