Biography
In 1989, Whidden received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in historical theology from Drew University in New Jersey.
He taught in the religion department at Andrews University from 1990 to 2006.
Whidden has published the books Ellen White on Salvation (Review and Herald, 1995), Ellen White on the Humanity of Christ (Review and Herald, 1997), and The Trinity (Review and Herald, 2002).
