In 2001, Wonersh parish contained 3297 residents of which 19.8% were aged over 65; 5.2% of the population were in full-time further education; 75.5% of all men were economically active whereas 2.2% were unemployed, 4.8% worked part-time; 57.6% of all women were economically active whereas 1.7% were unemployed, 34.8% worked part-time.
As to ethnicity, 98.3% of the population identified themselves as being white, 0.8% as mixed, 0.2% as of Indian heritage, 0.2% as of Pakistani heritage and 0.7% as other of the four main categories (five including mixed).
In terms of religion, 77.9%% of the population responded as being Christian, 0.1% as Muslim, 1.4% other religions, 12.9% as atheist and 7.9% declined to answer.
