The song has had two cover versions released by country music singers: Butch Baker took a rendition to #66 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts in 1989, David Kersh's version went to #29 on the same chart in 1998. "Wonderful Tonight" was also covered by British pop group Damage. It was released as a single in 1997 and reached #3 on the UK Singles Chart. Michael Bublé covered the song on his album, Call Me Irresponsible (album) in 2007. R&B singer Babyface covered the song on his album Playlist also in 2007. Mandopop singer-songwriter Khalil Fong covered the song on his 2009 album, Timeless. Also, in 1989 a spanish cover was made by Argentinian singer JAF.
