As of 2012, no provincial or territorial legislative assembly has ever achieved gender parity between women and men. Women currently represent 26 per cent (197 out of 757) of all provincial and territorial legislators across Canada as a whole. As of February 2013 six Canadian provinces or territories currently have a female Premier.
