Number of Orchestral Members
The size of the orchestra varies with the repertoire. Orchestra members are all professional musicians or senior students of the Sydney Conservatorium of music and are paid at approximately 65% of the rate of the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra. Entry is by audition.
