Wolf Creek (film) - Sequel

Sequel

On 30 September 2010, writer/director Greg McLean confirmed a sequel is in the works. Production is expected to commence sometime in 2011. The film will be again be set in the Australian outback and feature the character of Mick Taylor. Like the previous film, the story will have some elements based on true events. John Jarratt is also set to reprise the role of Mick Taylor. In August, it was announced that Geoffrey Edelsten was investing A$5 million into the production of Wolf Creek 2 after reading the script. However in December 2011, Edelsten issued court proceedings to set aside a payment demand from the production company, claiming he never would have committed to the project if he had known he would be the largest single private investor, a claim the production company denies. At the time, the budget for the film was quoted as A$13.2 million.
