The Wisconsin gubernatorial election of 2006 was held on November 7, 2006. Incumbent Democratic Governor Jim Doyle defeated Republican Congressman Mark Green. Doyle served between 2007 and 2011. According to a survey released October 30, 2006, 51% of likely voters said that they had a favorable impression of Governor Doyle, while 43% of respondents rated his job performance as either "Excellent" or "Good".
