People (previously known as Windows Live People and most recently as Windows Live Contacts) is part of Microsoft's Windows Live services. It integrates tightly with Outlook.com, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Mail and Windows Live Profile to provide users access to their contact's profiles and information. It allows a user to share different information with different groups of people.
Windows Live Contacts was rebranded as People in 2012, introducing a new interface based on the Metro design language that had already been used for Outlook.com.

Famous quotes containing the words windows, live and/or contacts:
“I came on a great house in the middle of the night
Its open lighted doorway and its windows all alight,
And all my friends were there and made me welcome too;
But I woke in an old ruin that the winds howled through;
And when I pay attention I must out and walk
Among the dogs and horses that understand my talk.”
—William Butler Yeats (18651939)
“We live in a system of approximations. Every end is prospective of some other end, which is also temporary; a round and final success nowhere. We are encamped in nature, not domesticated.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“Living more lives than one, knowing people of all classes, all shades of opinion, monarchists, republicans, socialists, anarchists, has had a salutary effect on my mind. If every year of my life, every month of the year, I had lived with reformers and crusaders I should be, by this time, a fanatic. As it is I have had such varied things to do, I have had so many different contacts that I am not even very much of a crank.”
—Rheta Childe Dorr (18661948)
