Effective July 1, 2005, WIND entered into a three-year agreement with the University of Illinois to carry Fighting Illini football and men's basketball games, as well as the coaches shows, through the Illini Sports Radio Network.
WIND is also the alternate station of the Chicago Blackhawks during baseball season/the Stanley Cup Playoffs during scheduling conflicts in lieu of WGN (720), as the Chicago Cubs have contractual priority to air their games on WGN over the Blackhawks.
The station also airs Northwestern Wildcats men's basketball games whenever WGN airs the Blackhawks, although Northwestern broadcasts are limited due to WIND carrying the Illini.
