Wiltshire Council - County Hall

County Hall

Wiltshire Council operates from the same Trowbridge base as the old Wiltshire County Council. In 2012 the County Hall building was revamped at a cost of about 24 million pounds. The remodelled New County Hall includes benefits services and housing advice, the Trowbridge library, the town's Register Office, and a cafe.

Famous quotes containing the words county and/or hall:

It would astonish if not amuse, the older citizens of your County who twelve years ago knew me a stranger, friendless, uneducated, penniless boy, working on a flat boat—at ten dollars per month to learn that I have been put down here as the candidate of pride, wealth, and aristocratic family distinction.
    Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865)

    Chipmunks jump, and
    Greensnakes slither.
    Rather burst than
    Not be with her.
    —Donald Hall (b. 1928)
