Williamstown Bridge - Current Bridge

Current Bridge

The current Williamstown Bridge was completed in 1992. It reuses some of the piers from the prior bridge, although the Marietta approaches were relocated to a new connection with Ohio State Route 7. This bridge is a continuous truss, the 28th-longest in North America.

Famous quotes containing the words current and/or bridge:

Phlebas the Phoenician, a fortnight dead,
Forgot the cry of gulls, and the deep sea swell
    And the profit and loss.
    A current under sea
Picked his bones in whispers. As he rose and fell
He passed the stages of his age and youth
    Entering the whirlpool.
    —T.S. (Thomas Stearns)

    I see four nuns
who sit like a bridge club,
    their faces poked out
    from under their habits,
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)
