Descendants
Strickland married Elizabeth Strickland, daughter of Sir Walter Strickland of Sizergh, and they had five children of whom the oldest, Walter, was William’s heir. Walter’s first son William was born shortly before his grandfather’s death and was named after him; he also became a Member of Parliament, and was created a baronet (of Boynton) in 1641.
