Wild Kingdom Train Zoo - Wild Kingdom Train

Wild Kingdom Train

Some of the exhibits such as the Siberian tiger, zebras, Fallow Deer and the kangaroos, can be seen from various paths within the park. The buffaloes currently can only be seen from out side the park along the Lagoon Trail. All of the exhibits except for the buffaloes can be seen from the train.

The ride has three steam powered engines named Houston and Merriweather (although only 2 are operational). Guests board the train at the train station located on the South Midway of the Lagoon Amusement Park. The train travels clockwise around a lagoon. The tracks go through a tunnel, past the various exhibits and the ride ends back at the train station.

Famous quotes containing the words wild, kingdom and/or train:

    The mountainous region of the State of Maine stretches from near the White Mountains, northeasterly one hundred and sixty miles, to the head of the Aroostook River, and is about sixty miles wide. The wild or unsettled portion is far more extensive. So that some hours only of travel in this direction will carry the curious to the verge of a primitive forest, more interesting, perhaps, on all accounts, than they would reach by going a thousand miles westward.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

    It was many and many a year ago,
    In a kingdom by the sea,
    That a maiden there lived whom you may know
    By the name of Annabel Lee;
    And this maiden she lived with no other thought
    Than to love and be loved by me.
    Edgar Allan Poe (1809–1849)

    The train was now going fast. Franz suddenly clutched his side, transfixed by the thought that he had lost his wallet which contained so much.
    Vladimir Nabokov (1899–1977)
