Wild Dances - Music Video

Music Video

A music video was filmed for Wild Dances. It was first aired on May 6, 2004 (before Eurovision), on MTV Russia in 12 Angry Viewers show, but was booed by the audience. The shooting took place in the abandoned building of the Ice Palace, which was at once renamed 'the Iceberg Palace" by the members of Ruslana's crew because no heating equipment brought with Ruslana could heat the cold air of the huge building to a comfortable level. The building was 'decorated' with sheer concrete and windows without glass. Despite the script of the video-clip, which provided for constant burning fire in large barrels, torches on the stage, wireworks and even a real military flame thrower, only the Wild Dances could help people to ultimately warm up.

Famous quotes containing the words music and/or video:

People today are still living off the table scraps of the sixties. They are still being passed around—the music and the ideas.
Bob Dylan [Robert Allen Zimmerman] (b. 1941)

It is among the ranks of school-age children, those six- to twelve-year-olds who once avidly filled their free moments with childhood play, that the greatest change is evident. In the place of traditional, sometimes ancient childhood games that were still popular a generation ago, in the place of fantasy and make- believe play . . . today’s children have substituted television viewing and, most recently, video games.
