Wilcox Lake - Human Usage

Human Usage

The town of Richmond Hill maintains three recreational parks along the shores of Wilcox Lake. Jesse Venek Park, Sunset Beach Park and North Shore Parkette are small municipal parks with picnicing areas. The Fish & Wildlife Sanctuary/Pike Hatchery is left in a natural state. The lake itself is used for fishing, windsurfing, Kayaking, and boating. The lake also has float planes land there regularly.

Famous quotes containing the words human and/or usage:

You cannot, in human experience, rush into the light. You have to go through the twilight into the broadening day before the noon comes and the full sun is upon the landscape.
    Woodrow Wilson (1856–1924)

Girls who put out are tramps. Girls who don’t are ladies. This is, however, a rather archaic usage of the word. Should one of you boys happen upon a girl who doesn’t put out, do not jump to the conclusion that you have found a lady. What you have probably found is a lesbian.
    Fran Lebowitz (b. 1951)
