Famous quotes containing the words wickham and/or steed:

    It is well within the order of things
    That man should listen when his mate sings;
    But the true male never yet walked
    Who liked to listen when his mate talked.
    —Anna Wickham (1884–1947)

    Farewell the neighing steed and the shrill trump,
    The spirit-stirring drum, th’ ear-piercing fife,
    The royal banner and all quality,
    Pride, pomp, and circumstance of glorious war!
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
