White Shadows

"White Shadows" is a song by British alternative rock band Coldplay and is the third track and sixth overall single on their 2005 album, X&Y. The release of the single in June 2007 resulted in just under half of the songs from the album becoming singles. It was produced by the band and their longtime producer Ken Nelson. Famous quotes containing the words white and/or shadows:

    The dancers crowded about him
And many a sweet thing said,
And a young man brought him red wine
And a young girl white bread.
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)

It is because everything is relative
That we shall never see in that sphere of pure wisdom and
Entertainment much more than groping shadows of an incomplete
Former existence so close it burns like the mouth that
Closes down over all your effort like the moment
    Of death
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)
