White Nights (soundtrack)

White Nights: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the soundtrack for the 1985 film, White Nights. The most successful single on the album, "Separate Lives" by Phil Collins and Marilyn Martin, reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and was nominated for an Academy Award in 1986. The prize instead went to Lionel Richie's "Say You, Say Me", another chart topper which appeared in the film but was not included on the soundtrack.

Famous quotes containing the words white and/or nights:

To many women marriage is only this. It is merely a physical change impinging on their ordinary nature, leaving their mentality untouched, their self-possession intact. They are not burnt by even the red fire of physical passion—far less by the white fire of love.
    Mary Webb (1881–1927)

Do not human beings have a hard service on earth, and are not their days like the days of a laborer? Like a slave who longs for the shadow, and like laborers who look for their wages, so I am allotted months of emptiness, and nights of misery are apportioned to me.
    Bible: Hebrew, Job 7:1-3.
