San Diego Trolley
Sandag and Metropolitan Transit System are currently working in development to bring trolley service to the area and create a station which will serve Westfield UTC. The project will extend the San Diego Trolley's Blue Line north from from Downtown San Diego to the UCSD area and terminating at the UTC station that will be built in the parking lot that is southwest of Macys. Completion of the project is scheduled to be completed by 2017 and is expected to begin trolley service by 2018.
