West Exe Technology College - Charity Work

Charity Work

Each year the school chooses a chosen charity as well as a fund raising target which they hope to achieve. During the year they raise money for the charity in a variety of events ranging from bake sales and fancy-dress days to fun runs and musical performances.

2006 - 2007 = ELF (Exeter Leukemia Fund)
2007 - 2008 = Malawi
2008 - 2009 = Devon Air Ambulance
2009 - 2010 = Help for Heroes
2010 - 2011 = Keyo Secondary School
2011 - 2012 = Muscular Dystrophy Campaign
2012 - 2013 = Moldova Project
Each charity and target is chosen by the students at the start of the year. The college has met or exceeded every target set so far.

The College houses are named after former bishops of Exeter; Grandisson, Briwere, Curzon, Temple and Pelham.

In recent years the college has been praised for its facilities and the overall success of its students, however has been criticised for the misbehaviour of students offsite and its lack of recognition for talented students.
