Geography

The northern areas of West Amwell are in Amwell Valley, while the southern sections are in The Sourlands region. The Delaware River separates West Amwell from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

West Amwell Township is located at 40°22′45″N 74°53′16″W / 40.379051°N 74.887735°W / 40.379051; -74.887735 (40.379051,-74.887735). According to the United States Census Bureau, the township had a total area of 21.776 square miles (56.398 km2), of which, 21.581 square miles (55.894 km2) of it is land and 0.195 square miles (0.505 km2) of it (0.89%) is water.
