Wentworth College is a college of the University of York, named after Thomas Wentworth, 1st Earl of Strafford. Originally opened in 1972, since 2002 it has had the distinction of being the only college exclusively housing postgraduate students; though postgraduates can be resident in all colleges at the University. Wentworth has about 460 resident graduate students, and serves as the base for the Graduate Students' Association. The current provost of Wentworth is Russell Yates.
