WSML or Web Service Modeling Language is a formal language that provides a syntax and semantics for the Web Service Modeling Ontology (WSMO).

In other words, the WSML provides means to formally describe the WSMO elements as Ontologies, Semantic Web services, Goals, and Mediators.

Famous quotes containing the words web, services, modeling and/or language:

    Thou blind man’s mark, thou fool’s self-chosen snare,
    Fond Fancy’s scum and dregs of scattered thought,
    Band of all evils, cradle of causeless care,
    Thou web of will whose end is never wrought;
    Desire! desire, I have too dearly bought
    With price of mangled mind thy worthless ware;
    Sir Philip Sidney (1554–1586)

    The community and family networks which helped sustain earlier generations have become scarcer for growing numbers of young parents. Those who lack links to these traditional sources of support are hard-pressed to find other resources, given the emphasis in our society on providing treatment services, rather than preventive services and support for health maintenance and well-being.
    Bernice Weissbourd (20th century)

    The computer takes up where psychoanalysis left off. It takes the ideas of a decentered self and makes it more concrete by modeling mind as a multiprocessing machine.
    Sherry Turkle (b. 1948)

    There’s a cool web of language winds us in,
    Retreat from too much joy or too much fear:
    We grow sea-green at last and coldly die
    In brininess and volubility.
    Robert Graves (1895–1985)
