Until the early 1990s, WBBC-FM was Adult Contemporary formatted "Love 93-5" with WKLV-FM calls.
After Dillwyn, Virginia based WVXE (then 93.7) fell silent, WBBC-FM applied for its current class C3 status, which allowed its signal to reach outside of Nottoway and Lunenburg counties.
