International Baccalaureate

Wausau East High School has been an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School since October 1978. The school has the tenth oldest IB program in United States and one of five in the state of Wisconsin. The program is open to all students in grades 11–12. Students taking IB courses may earn college credit through their IB exams at the end of the year which could allow them to begin college with sophomore status. An IB Diploma is offered to those who successfully complete the program. The program, which is state-funded, is offered in English to 22 students. The school's IB code is 000117.
