Watercolor Artist

Watercolor Artist, formerly Watercolor Magic, is an American bi-monthly magazine that focuses on watermedia techniques, trends and artists. As of June 2006, it had a print run of more than 90,000.

A typical article consists of several columns at the beginning and end of the magazine, while up-and-coming and prolific watercolorists are featured in the center of the publication.

Watercolor Magic is published by F+W Media, which also publishes numerous other magazines, such as Writer's Digest. The magazine is included in the magazine's Fine Art group -- along with The Artist's Magazine and The Pastel Journal.

Famous quotes containing the words watercolor and/or artist:

I have often thought that if photography were difficult in the true sense of the term—meaning that the creation of a simple photograph would entail as much time and effort as the production of a good watercolor or etching—there would be a vast improvement in total output. The sheer ease with which we can produce a superficial image often leads to creative disaster.
    Ansel Adams (1902–1984)

Any artist should be grateful for a naïve grace which puts him beyond the need to reason elaborately.
    Saul Bellow (b. 1915)
